Ashley M. Hines is the Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), a non-profit free-standing private school with the largest physician group practice in Wisconsin and seventh largest academic medical practice in the nation. Ashley has been instrumental in the establishment of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at MCW, as the first full-time employee hired. Ashley recently served as the Affiliate Liaison and Coordinator for the Black Child Development Institute-Milwaukee where she directed the completion of the statewide report Being Black Is Not a Risk Factor: Statistics and Strengths-Based Solutions in the State of Wisconsin by securing nine multidisciplinary contributors.
She currently serves on the 88Nine Radio Milwaukee Cultural Commons Steering Committee, as board co-chair of Lead2Change, Inc., a youth leadership organization committed to empowering and inspiring youth to be catalysts for change in their communities and as the program director of the Covenant Youth mentoring program at Christian Faith Fellowship Church. Ashley recently served as the inaugural board secretary for the African-American Breastfeeding Network.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies-Child Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wisconsin (2010). She has received several award and distinctions, including the 2010 Milwaukee Black Women’s Network Well-Willed Women, the 2015 President’s Award for Diversity and Inclusion at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the 2017 Milwaukee Business Journal 40 under 40 award.
Ashley is married to Brandon L. Hines, an executive pastor at Christian Faith Fellowship Church. They live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and they have one son, Brandon L. Hines II.
