Position Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Video & Film Team Lead will lead, manage, and instruct Dream Builder’s student participants in the creation of videography and photography media content for Lead2Change 2022 Summer Internship Experience This position will be responsible for the development of lesson plans that incorporate photography, video filming, and editing techniques that promote creativity and student engagement. The work schedule of this position is at the Team Lead’s discretion; however, student participants must receive 20 hours of weekly instruction and be able to film during program hours and designated activities.

This is a summer position that runs from June 6 – August 11, 2022.


  • Teaches student participants videography, photography and advance editing techniques and software that will allow students to create and present media content of the Lead2Change 2022 Summer Internship Experience at completion ceremony.
  • Develops lesson plans and provides instruction to help students understand concepts in photography, video production and editing.
  • Maintains professional relationships with program participants within the constructs of youth-adult partnerships.
  • Coordinates all logistics required for offsite learning experiences including permission slips with emergency contact information, appropriate staff coverage, transportation, and agenda of activities.
  • Assists students with class related personal development through one-on-one feedback sessions conducted during the mid-point of the program and end of program.
  • Tracks student attendance daily and reviews timesheets with signature approval weekly.
  • Collaborates with student’s Career Advancement Coach to eliminate any barriers to internship completion.


  • College Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year institution of higher learning with a career pathway OR demonstrate extensive experience in video and film editing.
  • Computer literacy with desktop publishing networks, software programs for publication production, and office management including but limited to Adobe Creative, Cloud (InDesign, Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • A passion for empowering youth to reach their full potential and the field of youth development.
  • Dynamic leadership abilities and experience in supervising a group of six (6) students.
  • Core facilitation skills and effective communication techniques including public speaking and forming a group.
